Flexicolumn is a modular column building system, its a set of parts that can be combined into columns and things like door and mirror surrounds.

Graham has been developing it for a number of years, he thinks it is going to be huge. He also keeps thinking of new things that could be created with the parts. Hopefully as he further develops his show room it will be clearer to customers and potential customers what is possible.

Eventually customers will be able to specify the shape, style and height of their desired column or door surround. Then the website will create a list of the parts. So order fulfillment should be a simple matter of picking and shipping.

Because Graham is still developing and extending its a bit of a moving target for now. The website will continue to change and develop. He doesn’t want it to grow to large until he has ironed out any kinks and hitches in the system. That way he can work out the processes at a small scale before he grows it into a massive business.

Technically:

• A custom shop to deal with current requirements and future adaptions like: Agent territories, new types of products and customer idiosyncrasy.
• Setting up email accounts and domain names
• Print adverts for limited launch area to introduce new concept.
• Logo and from that letterheads, compliment slips and business cards.
